Nr. Konskr. 1308/II DP - 2012 Dec 15 TA - Staletá Praha PG - 149--164 VI - 28 IP - 2 AID - 10.56112/sp.2012.2.10 IS - 02316056 AB - Archaeological excavations in Panská Street No. 1308/II in Prague revealed fluvial sediments under the basements floors, deposited by a former Pleistocene water course deriving to the current plot from southeast (from Vinohrady area). Palynological analysis of later sediments from horizontal engineering - geotechnical bore holes into the part of the plot without cellars identified a high concentration of pollen grains, from which some determined species indicate a damp site, which could be explained by the presence of surface water in the Middle Ages. Compilation of knowledge gained from underneath No. 1308/II and its surroundings leads to a presumption, that this is the last site, where the Vinohradský stream flew until the ditch of Prague Nové Město defences dammed its course.
