He graduated from the Vocational School of Civil Engineering at the Higher State Industrial School in Prague and later obtained the engineer title. At first he worked in his native regions by Vltava and Sázava rivers, but the most important work he realised in Prague. In 1897 he joined V. Nekvasil's company, where he worked in high positions until 1937. At the same time, however, he ran his own company, which built residential and other buildings throughout the first half of the 20th century. He collaborated with several important architects and namely Jaroslav Gruber, a pupil of Josef Gočár from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, was his employee. František Troníček may also be perceived the designing architect - his possible authorial contribution to the realized constructions is examined in the second part of the article. Stylistically, his constructions prior the First World War were characterized by geometric Art Nouveau and after the war by purism and functionalism. This important builder (and architect) was buried in the family tomb in Davle.
