Kleinen Lobkowiczhauses in der Prager Burg im Jahre 1644 : Der aktuelle Diskurs über das frühmittelalterliche Gräberfeld und die neuzeitlichen Bauten nördlich der Jiřská Gasse JF Staletá Praha YR 2025 VO 40 IS 2 SP 78 OP 109 DO 10.56112/sp.2024.2.03 UL https://staletapraha.cz/en/artkey/pha-202402-0003.php AB Newly discovered archival documents relating to the construction of the so-called Little Lobkowicz House (No. 7) at Prague Castle in 1644 prompted an interdisciplinary study to place these data in the broader context of the period and the spatial development of the eastern part of the Hradčany promontory. Reviewed is the information on the early medieval burial ground north of Jiřská Street, which most likely originally encroached on plot No. 7 and whose remains were removed there during the construction of the house. As a result of extensive building activity from the Romanesque to the modern period, only a small section of the burial site has been preserved, while most of the remains are scattered in secondary positions in the eastern part of Jiřská Street and in the area of the Burgrave's Seat (No. 6). Newly available archival sources refine current interpretations of the buildings in the area and their owners up to 1644 by tracing the buildings that preceded No. 7 and the changes of ownership in the immediate surroundings.
